Damn, that does some like a pretty wicked deal Chex, thanks. I'm not huge on brand-name but honestly do you get what you pay for? I've seen some Numark/pioneer/panasonic tables/cdj's up there in price but I've also heard some BIG complaints about them, and not the price.
And a mixer isn't all that huge of a deal, where I work already has a Pro mixer 1000 I think is the model...lots of bells and whistels and such. Boss said I can practice there whenever I want using that mixer once I have my tables..And I already have some wicked hook-ups set up to get vinyls so that's not as big of an issue as actually finding a quality table that i'm not going to 'out-grow' in a matter of a month.
Once again folks thanks for the input and link. |
I personally wouldn't buy from that site. However, i do like to take advantage of some companies' Price Matching policy. And yes, you DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR... I personally only played w/ a tt500 once, but it has the same motor and tonearm as the ttx-1 without all the digital junk. And considering how much praise Numark has been getting lately for their new ttx-1 and tt-500s, i put the tt500 on the top of the mid range list.
But, even though the tt500 is a really sweet deck, if you can afford a 1200, i would say go for it. B/c even though the numark deck is nice, the 1200 will hold it's value much better and it's probably much easier to get replacement parts in the future.
