glad someone here appreciates '99 trance... that was probably the best year for trance.

it sounds a bit overcompressed and the reverb really eats too much of the spectrum in the percussion hats bit... try EQing some mids out of it.

try using a bit of tube distortion if you want a tight sound without having to resort to so much compression.. I don't know what software you used, but it sounds like the reason compressor and the reason compressor isn't that good... use it sparingly (if your host is Reason of course).

The intro I'm not too fond of... it sounds like there are some out of scale notes that don't belong (an attempt to make this over used chord progression interesting?) possibly, but I don't think adding out of tune notes will help it.Try using your musical ingenuity and try upper extentions with harmonies... also come up with a catchy melody.. get on your piano keyboard and jam :P that's the best way to come up with good melodies, in my opinion.

One way to test if your tune will be a floor stomper is to try it on yourself... pop the CD-R in your home stereo... act like an average clubber.. if the track doesn't give you goosebumps... or doesn't make you wanna dance... you may need to go back and change something. Like the clarinetist Artie Shaw said, "If your music moves you, it will move others."

I honestly don't get a '99 feel from this track... work more on simplicity and ingenuity... instead of complexity... a bunch of melodies floating together with no direction sounds like noise.

Lovely synth work in this track. Some of the melodies dont seem to fit in correctly with the notes...was this done intentionally? Sounds good anyway :P I love how you composed your melodies. Very inspiring technique u got going on here.

Gr8 stuff Sunquest, keep it up.

really really nice man. i especially like the growly pads and how you use them. nice melodies and simple but effective percussion.

personally i'm sick of hearing of '99...it was 6 years ago, get over it.

nice tune tho

good stuff

It sounds very simillar though, not something that hasn't been done before... and I think the bass is too soft in volume. Otherwise: excellent

what a mess, hehe

i guess that's on purpose.. i can distinguish some Mike influences in there, which is nice. it's too hard to judge the track properly, though.
