Holly crap. OK I give it to Cobalt
he's right we don't want PVD or even Tiesto to become
like a britney spears thing.
1) PVD happens to be my fav dj/artist and
2) All there is in Canada and the states on TV and Radio is
bunch of bullshit they play.
Not even one dance station not even
one radio station that I can listen to . Ask me when I listened
to the fucking radio in my car? Like never !
I turned my TV to BPM tv and guess what I puked my guts. All they played
was this one Tiesto traffic video and the rest was like 80 to 90 's stuff that's like a joke !
Maybe this whole trance shit needs to be more commercialized over here
you know its not like PVD is not commercialized already in Europe !
And what about Tiesto, he's like a God over there ? That's commercialization to me. And Armin Van Buuren who's known to take 50 grand for a gig. And don't start with the clubs. Do you call the guvernment in toronto a good club? With bunch of cracked out people laying on the floor and one freaken laser with a bunch of mirrors that makes it look like 5 lasers?
Pppplease .. And did you go to the docks
for the Tiesto Just be? They packed people in there like cattle to sell tickets did you see the security guard re-selling tickets? we did.
Not even one good club if you ask me...

So there its my renting for today !

Reflections was horrible, worst PvD release ever. How it ended up nominated for a Grammy is BEYOND me, but oh well. I am also still confused how Oakenfold - Creamfields got nominated in the same category because it's not an artist album it's a mix comp, 2 totally different things.

Oh, I think Re-Reflections is rather good. They're all nice productions, and Wir Sind Wir was one of my favorite tracks from 2004.

But Re-Reflections is not up for a Grammy. Reflections is.

I think its a good start for the electronic music to be considered at a Grammy award..big step..and PVD it a good representative for that.

Excuse me but Paul Van Dyke would be #2 in the polls and DJ Tiesto would be #1. So stop changing the facts to lies just cause you like Paul Van Dyke better.

He was probably talking about a poll other than the DJ Mag poll.

This is definately a sensitive subject for electronic fans. Our genre is very different from the regular stuff you'd see at the grammies. I'm not sure they are skilled enough to put any sort of judgement on our music. Do they really have what it takes to understand the difference between good electronic and cheese? Considering what makes it on the radio, probably not.
