I know but i'd go for the same ones anyway even if they wouldn't have been on the list.

Lange, although he hasn't released any albums. The following songs are the reasons:

Productions:
Follow Me

Remixes:
Agnelli and Nelson - Everyday
Atlantis vs. Avatar - Figi
DB Boulevard - Point of View
DJ Sakin - Protect Your Mind
Ian Van Dahl - Reason
Lost Witness - Red Sun Rising
Lost Witness - Happyness Happening
the Morrighan - Remember (To The Millenium)
Pet Shop Boys - New York City Boy
Space Brothers - Heaven Will Come

Honorable mention goes to:
Drifting Away, Don't Think It Feel It, Will I (Lange Mix), Sureal - Always On My Mind

--------------------------------------------------------------

What about his productions under the Firewall guise like Sincere and Kilimanjaro?

While he may be lurking in the dark for some time, he has always been one of my favourite artists and most of those productions and remixes are all from the span of only a few years.

For a more complete list of his productions, including a number I didn't mention click the following link
http://www.discogs.com/artist/Lange

BT and Oliver Lieb for sure

if you read interviews with trance producers you realize that most of them gives credits to BT and Oliver Lieb since they've pioneered the scene and been a huge inspiration source for many.
truly outstanding producers.

I believe you are encouraging people to nominate at the moment, not looking for people to say who their favourites are, right?

If that is the case, he are a few from me, not necessarily my favourite artist of all time, but artists I believe have made considerable contribution to the electronic music scene. I'll add a few more later if I get time.

Sasha (Alexander Coe):
Edit: Oops I didn't notice him on your list sorry.

Leftfield (Neil Barnes & Paul Daley):
It was a shock when leftfield split up ahead of their long awaited 3rd album, which only makes those two earlier albums, Leftism and Rhythm & Stealth so much more desired. Some of their classics will be listened to for many years to come, and still cause such a stir when played on a dancefloor.

Artist Album: Leftism

Massive Attack:
A pioneer of the Trip Hop phenomenon, they have produced 4 timeless albums that will stand out in anyone’s collection. Their music is something that will be remembered for it’s darker aspect, but they have continually pushed out the classics in a span of time that encompasses over 10 years.

Artist Album: Mezzanine

Quivver (John Graham):
John Graham arrived on the scene with his early A&M classic Twist & Shout. Also a part of Tilt in their earlier days, John Graham released some exceptional work of his own under such names as Quivver, Space Manoeuvres and Stoneproof. Also, remix contributions of BT classics, and earlier classics of Led Zeppelin and Culture Club, John Graham will be remembered as one of the great producers.

Artist Album: N/A

Michael Cretu as Enigma

of the top of my head -

Some album releases:

MCMXC A.D.
The Cross Of Changes
Voyageur

Some tracks:

Sadness Pt. 1
Age of Loneliness
TNT For the Brain
From East to West
Age of Innocence
Mea Culpa

I don't know if Enigma was revolutionary or not, but I nominate them simply because I enjoy the music so much. I can listen to their tracks beside musical masterpieces like Moonlight Sonata and Sheherazade.

I tried compiling a list of candidates on my own, but everyone I asked for input kept adding more, and I decided that TA could probably compile a much better list of "Best Ever" candidates than I could. My list is people I think will probably be in the voting , my nominations follow.

Yes, that is exactly right. Some artists can easily be your favorite and can qualify as great, but to be named the best ever may be a stretch . That being said, some of Electronic music's greatest musicians may not be as commercially succesful or popular with the members of this board, but certainly have the rare mix of skill, consistancy, and ability it takes.

Tijs Verwest (sorry ? )

No need to be sorry. Tijs is certainly one of Electronic music's biggest names and worth of a nomination at least.
