yeah guys, i'm not sure what you're used to paying up there... but that's not too bad @ all... The clubs that Hawtin and Howell spin down here in NY usually charge between $25-$35 (US) for entrance.

If u don't want to spend that on a normal nite, trust me (and those who have heard Howells and Hawtin before) you won't be sorry. Consider it a treat for yourself. There's a REASON that they are charging "so much", (it's not really THAT much). DO it man!

But he's playing at system sound bar on the friday (for Breath) I take it you guys split the plane fare. Just to compare how things are in Toronto, System is 20-25$ before 2am. (with special guests)

Anyways, your right, its not expensive compared to the USA, but seeing how I go out about twice/month, (which is little compared to some), it adds up.

Its obvious that if I did the smart thing, dropped out of school, got a job, and partied evrey weekend, and seriously took advantage of life, it wouldn't matter a whole lot less to me...

ahahah

eheheh
I will not tell you how we pay DJ's at Aria but it's expensive and I can tell you these guys are not flying in economic class!
When they are from UK, you can expect 5000.00 - 6000.00$can for the flight ticket so when you have 2-3 guest dj's on the same night, the 5$ more is like nothing!

intersting...

biggy, maybe you can shed some light on how the dj booking works, cause i have often wondered. If you book a dj who is playing in toronto, or somewhere close to montreal the night before, how does that work? In terms of his flight, do you just pay for his toronto-montreal flight, or do you have to pay for a flight from the dj's country of origin to montreal?

ok

Exemple: When a dj is from UK and he play like 3-4 dates over here, there is shuttle flight so it's more expensive but the 3 or 4 cities are divising the cost. Also we have to pay for the work permit 160$ can and for the transport to the hotel and back to the airport (and some dj's ask for limousine). After we are going to restaurant with dj's most of the time and we have to pay for them or they eat at the hotel and we still paying.
Also we have to pay for the hotel and it's very expensive since they stay at Le Germain on Mansfield (the best hotel in Montréal).

that's all!!!
