Half Life 2 is good...I found it had several freaky moments.

I didn't find the sequel scary or good, the original is better for feel.

Play as marine and watch your motion tracker,

A Face hugger is instant death along with a HIGH PITCH SCREECH SOUND! They are hard to hear them coming, so watch your motion tracker

Yeah I forgot to mention I've played both AVP1 and 2, they sure are scary. I'm gonna look up System Shock now.

RE4 isn't exactly "scary", but it's a damn good game. One of the best games of 2005 for sure and the reason why I bought a Gamecube.

I get my scare out of the Silent Hill series, been a huge fan of it since the first game on PSone. There's a movie in the making also, which makes me happy.

Fucking Doom 3. Play that with a 256mb video card, big screen and surround sound with lights off and it gets you going. By far the scariest game I played.
