see my thing with the rane, is that ne one who has used a different rotary mixer has said the rane is a complete piece of garbage.... especially if they gave they're old urei to rane for research when rane was researching ureis for making their rotary mixer... rane would then send them their 2016 if u gave them a urei and had nothing but complaints... i dunno, me personally i wouldnt waste my time, and i know people will have different opinions on this, but i know in this industry u get wat u pay for, and we all know theres slide mixers the same price range as their rotary, which makes me question their rotary as well. id probably get the new urei over that

Yea it probably will to most people, if that is an amazing sample of the Rane, then your gonna need top notch speakers with top notch cable and top notch amp to hear it, you can have the worlds best sounding mixer with worlds best Audiophile turntable and needle, but if your running your "Best Buy" mini system stereo to listen to it, its only gonna be as good as those speakers can do, so really for you to hear that sample for what it is, you need to spend about 2 grand on speakers and about 200 on cables.

I ain't gonna download this sample as it will only sound as good as my weakest link, which is my speakers.

Yeah...waste of money to buy a big bulky pricey mixer like that for a home system. The EQ's may be nice and such...but there are other mixers out there that are just as good.

Well no, there are many DJs on here that want good sound, so when they buy a mixer of this quality, they will buy or already own a set of top quality speakers, I don't have the best speakers, they mainly just make alot of loud noise, but my mixer can churn out a good quality signal, and for this the next set of speakers I get will be able to make use of that extra quality, believe me after you have heard a good sounding setup, you won't want to go back, when I started upgrading my whole setup, I did the whole lot except the speakers, and it sounded great, then I upgraded the speaker wire to so nice high end cable and it made a huge difference, and now I want to upgrade the speakers to get the true sound that I should be hearing, trust me once you start going higher in the sound quality department, you won't ever go back down.

That's so true.... "Big bulky pricy mixers" do sound great in great home systems... It's been a uphill battle for me trying to get my setup perfect for me. So far i'm in love with everyting except my speakers. Thus, after checking out the hr824s again, i'll hopefully grab a pair in the next few months. high quality sound just makes everything feel so good.

This is what I have a home. Great trance and EDM mixer. This best part is that if you want rotary knobs you can buy the rotary kit. I have yet to see any other mixer to offer that option. Its great for bedroom djs.

Vestax Rotary Kit

Ive had this mixer for three years. Ive put this mixer through hell and I havent had not one problems. My only concern is that it doesnt have curve control but thats because I like to scratch.

Oh not to mention its very inexpensive for this quality mixer. $250.00 at the most if you look rite.

No it doesnt. Your only paying for the name. It has no touch screen like the 909, only has two channel, no option for rotory, no kill switches, its made for hip hop not edm, no effects.... So explain how does that mediocre mixer own the PVC 175. If anything you should have posted the DJM 500/600 but it still doesnt compare to the price of the Vestax 175 ($250 at the most)

Enlighten me

The 707 doesn't own the Vestax so stop being ignornt. They're both great mixers for the price. I feel they should be used for different applications.

Yup, plus the guy loves it, it IS a good mixer, and it hasn't gone wrong, and so who cares if there is MAYBE something better out there for the price, plus he has had it for 3 years, the 707 wasn't even around then.

I just bought a xone:92 for my home setup. So if anybody actually wants it I can probably do a couple tests with vinyl recording to see which one sounds better.

If nobody wants to hear 2016 vs 92 then I won't waste my time. I'm sure they both sound nice. :-)
