I think she's planning a scheme to get me to play the game (as in, purchasing the game for me and paying for a month of gameplay).

Women are EVIL.

I didn't find the Guild Wars 3 day preview very enjoyable, maybe they've improved it since than though.

The beta's apparently shows off only 25% of what the full game is capable of.

She really enjoyed it... but she's never really played MMORPG's, either.

Played the beta but I don’t think ill buy the game anytime soon. I'm afraid it will take over my life, this game truly is a drug, addictive as fuck.

MMORPG's are the worst invention ever. I was hooked on Everquest for far too long. Time online was a core requirement to be in the best guild and see the end game.

See I don't think they are such a bad invention, the only thing is you really have to decide if you want to be doing the best shit in the game, and if you do, than you need to put ALOT of time in. But if you just enjoy playing you can put in an hour or so a day and play casually and it can still be fun.

Personally, I'm not happy unless I am doin the high end content, but work is kinda gettin in the way of me puttin in the 8 hour WoW days i was doin' the couple of weeks after launch.

I used to play EQ for 17 hours a day. I was skipping school almost all the time and lost all my friends cept the one whos house I lived at. we would take 45 minutes 1 tme a day to eat as much as we could at mongolian grill. thatd usually last us a good 12 hours.

lost a lot of weight.

man that was fun

Now im playing EverQuest II its a lot easier to stay away from. I only have 60x24 hours accrued since novermber

Yeah, I didn't mean they were bad literally. Just for me EQ sucked me in so hardcore I would make up excuses to my friends of why I couldn't go out because a raid was scheduled for that night.

It's not a bad game but once you max out your level there really isn't anything to do unless you get 40 people together or if you want to re-run the same dungeons 20 times for 5 hours each to get a chance to roll on a piece of equipment with 5 more armor and 2 extra agility.

Maybe once they release battlegrounds there will be more to do but for now I don't have much interest in playing the game. But it's a very good game level 1-59, so have fun but don't go overboard.
