i think thats only true if the songs are in compatable keys in the first place.
if the two songs are in diff non compatable keys changing the pitches can place them in compatible keys

The key of the track changes by one half note every 4%.

i would think so... I always thought that mixing prog house involved more long gradual mixes than just slamming the next track in (which seems so prevalent in trance)

Anyway back to what I was asking before. What are some tunes that have the same harmonic key that are prog house? I checked the sticky but there are only trance tunes on there.

dunno how much of what they have, but i did notice a few proghousy tunes listed along with some DnB.. so chances are they might have a couple tracks your lookin for

thing about harmonics, it cuts down time spent trying to find a compatible track, you have one bangin away and youre all pumped but you keep changing your next track cus you dont like the way it sounds, and by the time you find one you like the playing track has already lost alot of its "Umpff"

yeah you may know which tracks go well with eachother but one thing i noticed i used to do alot was always play the same order of tracks which gets old when you review 3 diff sets and they all have the same tracks mixed together.. soon as i learned keys my sets became more varied and less predictable... used to be that if i handed you a mixtape thats pretty much all the set i had, let me spin for you and youd hear the same mixes you did on the tape....

gets old and you can sometimes feel alittle restricted as to which track needs to come next.... harmonics really opens up doors, did for me anyways

Well if I'm understanding it right, the outer circle's keys are equivalent to the inner circle's keys, and one key next to another indicates it can be mixed into that key?
