why wouldn't you recommend belt-driven for DJing?
is it really THAT bad?

Belt Driven tables use a belt connected to a motor to turn the platter.

Direct Driven tables have the motor directly mounted to the platter.

DD tables are better because 1)Less parts to break 2)more accurate pitch control, and 3)Better torque(in most cases)thats why DD are better for Djing.

You want to avoid BD tables because the belts *typically* dont last very long when you consider back cueing and all of the motions done on a table when DJing.

Between the Numark 1510 and the Gemini XL 200 you will not be able to successfully DJ w/ either of those. BUT since that is not your intent then go w/ the Numark. I SIMPLY DO NOT TRUST THE QUALITY OF GEMINI!!
Alright, ENOUGH!
I am about to fly out to Canada and buy the damn thing for you!!
Have a nice day,
Kev

HAHA! Dont you wish!

Actually i would if i was rich! But, seeing as how every dollar i spend i measure in terms of how many records i could buy, i just dont see how flying to Canada would be financially sound $600 US ticket, about 75 records.
