Not to get political (and I HATE politics) it would be in her best interest to pull the plug. No one should have to live this way.

Neither do I, which is why they should not pull the tubes. She does not have a living will, nor is she dead by the legal definition. No matter what we all think about her quality of life, I don't believe we should be deciding if she gets to keep it or not. It scares me to open that door and give someone that power...

Good point, Peterdjsgirl but where do you draw the line? If she continues to recieve enteral nutrition (via a tube) she remains in a vegetative state and there's no change. The State is happy. But, if you remove the tubes and provide palliative care only, she'll probably die within a few days. I agree, a living will is what it's all about. I never want to be in her shoes.
