dude you think just like me, so what if we get fucked over, that doesnt mean we have to pretend to be someone we hate to be. i enjoy being nice to people and if they accept that then great, if they see it as a point of weekness and back off then thats thier loss. i wont stop being nice just coz the rest of society is a bunch of dicks.

Totally man... I don't want to be an asshole, I don't see how that could ever benefit me in a positive way! You just gotta be yourself... and like you said if people see that as a weakness then its their loss... they don't get to know someone who is actually kind to anyone, instead of bashing someone because they are "weak" because they are nice. I think people who are full of themselves are the weak ones. they are all living in their own little dream world and don't care about anything but themselves... i feel bad for these people... hopefully someday they will wake up from this dream world and realize there is a lot more amazing things in life than being an asshole to get your way!

im not a prick either but i do catch myself playing the societal games of not calling right away and pretending to be not "too interested" at first.

Sadly it's the only way to survive.

Argentina and Europe were liberating for me. It was nice to be in a society where i could meet a girl at a club for example, and ask her out to champagne breakfast or something the next morning. Not to mention the sheer enthusiasm that they showed when you did nice things for them.

yup! i know the type you are talking about, i dont mean to judge anyone, but there are some people that i really hope see the light one day and realise that life is more satisfying when are nice to other people.
i just dont know how some people can do the things the do and act the way they do and not have a guilty concious. i personally feel soo much guilt if i know i have wronged someone. its fair for anyone to make another person feel bad. we all have the right to be happy and no one should be able to take the happiness away.

people will stop being pricks when society punishes them for it.

me too man! there are definately a few people i know that i hope get a swift kick in the ass to wake up them up to reality! I don't know how some of them do it ether... If i wrong someone.. i think about it all the time and i feel so bad...so i try and avoiding doing in general! Everyone just seems so pissed off at the world lately... I wish they could just step back and enjoy the little things in life we take advantage of. we live in a beautiful country... and we are all lucky to live here... well I think i am at least! I've travelled the world, but I always love coming home to Canada... love the people here too!!!!
