i only used acid to change the tempo of my samples ..i use it with rewire with cubase sx2

I used ACID to produce for 3 years.. did some great tracks with it. But I used it in conjunction with a hardware keyboard. So I basically just mixed processed .wav files with it (I processed them in Sound Forge).

Once I started using VSTs a bit more, using ACID wasn't practicle anymore because it is not CPU efficient at all.

I still use acid 4.0 for some stuff but not that much. I really like the way acid pro 5.0 looks.

Just tried out 5.0 with a bunch of wav samples i like the way it all fits together, will try it out with midi instruments later, im guessing it will fall down in this area....

Does anyone here use Pro Tools?? I purchased the M-Box for my vocal tracks and other live insturments but am totally lost on how to use Pro Tools. I purchased the CSI Starter tutorial and it helped a lot but I was wondering: Is it a good program for trance/breaks/ or any other styles that use a lot of loops? I used to use Acid 5.0 but my cracking days are over heh. Mr. Legit Producer man here.
