She should lose her position...an apology is not sufficient, especially since apologies for comments like those are completely false...she's not sorry for making the comments, she's sorry they were made public. We don't need people who can't keep their mouth shut in positions of importance.

As an aside...I AGREE with the underlying point she made. The U.S. is *notorious* for ignoring trade agreements with us.

Bash her for inappropriate comments that went public...but before you bash her for being "smug" or arrogant, do some homework and find out how many trade violations are currently before various governing organizations like the WTO...and find out how many "sanctions" exist from the U.S...you'll be surprised, I guarantee it. They simply don't give a shit and do as they please...over and over again. THAT is smug and arrogant.
