i have Symantec AntiVirus, Ad-Aware SE Professional with Ad-Watch loaded to block spam before it even gets onto my PC, plus a Linksys Router with firewall built in.

AVG Free Edition.. The best IMO.+ some antispyware,works great.

I do technical support, and i hate norton. i think its junk. to heavy, causes all kinds of conflict on PC's espicially the internet security. if you're gonna use it, just get the anti-virus. stay away from the firewall. right now i have don't have any antivirus on my PC. haven't gotten any viruses in over a year, its all about what you do with you're PC how you maintain it

get a router with a built in firewall. use firefox not IE don't click on pop ups and don't open stupid junk mail

edit: antispyware, get a ripped version of spysweeper
spyware is a bigger problem then viruses now days. but firefox should help you with the majority anyways
