I do bring my own music, but I woke up at 5 this morning to be here early, and I forgot to bring anything. All I have here is some oooooold school dance, and I've already listened through it all hundreds of times. |
yea, but you can setup your player to stream through HTTP - which they must have available if you can surf.
open IE
tools -> internet options
connections tab -> LAN settings
- if it's a script ("use automatic configuration script") then really need to download the script and look at the code
- if you have a proxy listed under "proxy server" copy down the info
www.proxyname.com and port #
WMP
tools -> internet options
network tab
uncheck from every protocol (Multicast, UDP, TCP) EXCEPT for HTTP
uncheck use ports "" to receive data
configure -> select "use the following proxy server" and add the address/port
RealPlayer (basic v.8) new versions are similar in setup
view -> preferences
proxy tab
uncheck both PNA and RTSP proxy
select "manually configure HTTP proxy" and add the address/port
i've got both streaming fine behind our very tight-ass proxy
