Nice tune, would like to hear it with a clearer bassline in, backing synths are excellent, as is the perc and the rest of the production in the track really, although the chord sequence sounds a bit strange in places... but that might be because it hasn't got a bassline backing it up

Good work

Thanks for listening I'll be focusing on that bassline next, so hopefully my next update will be a bit clearer sounding. I'll take a look at those chord sequences, too. Thanks for the tip!

was going to post my latest tune but that has made me think twice ha ha! what synths/plug-ins do you use? well produced stuff, good lad!

Glad you liked it! This is a direct rendering right out of FL-Studio, and I used Absynth, Albino2, Sytrus and FM7 throughout along with the usual samplers for drums. The main lead is FM7 doubled with the TS-404 to give it some edge =) As for effects, mostly delays and reverbs, including PSP84 and Sonitus:FX Reverb. A couple flangers here and there... Havin' a lot of fun setting the synths to mono mode with a short portamento Stay tuned for an update soon!

It's just the sub in my car isn't hooked up right now so I can't accurately check out the bass end of this track right now But I'll work on that immediately, dude. I've also had *a lot* of trouble with kicks lately, and this is the best I could do at the moment... damn kicks... I'll get back to this track tonight

kicks are fun... what you mean :P try layering 2 kicks together... it's fun makes the kick more contrallable so you have more options of how you want the kick to sound in your track.

Hmm... interestin'. You don't ever run into phasing problems when you do that? Or do you run a HP filter on one to help avoid bad phasing? I'll definitely give this a try. Thanks for the tip. =)

yup filter! :P don't leave them unfiltered... lowpass filter the bass kick highpass filter the top kick.. that's how PvD does his reworks... he'll highpass filter the track and add a deep bass thump to the kick and a bassline of his own

Just so you all know, I've added a remix pack to my website if anyone is interesting in remixing this track. The remix pack includes MIDI and dry/processed solo synths. I've also included a seperate pack for FL-Studio users who want to use some of my Albino2, FM7, or TS404 presets. Anyone can remix this but only if you have fun! Please let me know how the remix comes out if you decide to remix it.

Remix Pack (22.2 MB)
Remix Pack Synth Presets for FL-Studio 5+ (125 KB)

And, as far as the original track, it'll be done very very soon... And I've decided I'm going to post the final version at 320 kbps MP3 for anyone who wants it just because I had so much fun putting this piece together =)

Peace!

I updated the track quite a bit today. Thanks to GerryCueto about finally convincing me to put in a real bassline!! =) Also redid the kicks, and modified the synths a bit. Please let me know what you think of the update. =)

niec track..

has a few mastering problems..

the hats are too loud/bright..

the synth that comes in at 1:35 is a bit muddy (cut a bit between 100-250hz)

at 3:35.. it sounds like a main melody and chord progression should of come in.. but it didn't.. :\ (would of sounded better if it did)

with a better main melody.. this track could be really good

Another update... Almost complete! Finally got it to sound better (I think) but I'm going to need some second opinions -- thanks!

BTW once it's complete, I'm going to host a zipped FLP file on my site for remixes =) Thanks for listening!
