Just got back... was trying to stay till the end but i simply couldn't. not even redbull keep me dancing anymore. walked it with remy throwing down some usual good tunes in kool haus. he dropped matthew dekay's the deep show (remy remix) as his second last track before handing over to nick warren. warren tore the place apart with a slightly harder than usual set, dropped some big tunes here and there and even a few acid house tunes. not sure about others but i quite liked it. a lot of people loved nu nrg tonight but they bored me quite a bit so i head back to guv and heard mark oliver started with interstate - i found you before i headed to orange room to get destroyed by some breaks. unfortunately, the sound system in orange room was lacking (no duh... comparing with kh and guv) so i headed back to see some armin. he started with synergy - hello strings (forgot what mix, not original). he then dropped Andy Moor - Halcyon, Ahmet Ertenu - Why (Derek Howell Remix), adagio for strings (either ferry or phynn mix), pulser - point of impact, Enmass - CQ,Jonas Steur - Castamara, Max Graham - Gone (man, i saw 3 big, build, at least 6 ft 3 guys hugging each other at the break down, PRICELESS )
then i went over to check some evil 9 before i went to the guv and i thought cox was playing. i didnt give a good look but i swear i thought it was him. did he really not come? and if anyone cares, it seemed like evil 9 played a lot of their essential mix tunes and some that even i couldnt id...

it was too packed though... even in kh... i got elbowed and pushed a lot.. so i ended up leaving around 5ish. overall a good party music wise but guv really rammed too many people in there.

music: 9/10
crowd: 6/10 (a lot of people were rather polite but still... they kick and elbow and push you)
overall: 7.5/10

i was in the main room for most of the time... if that wasn't carl cox, then there must be some other big black guy who plays just like carl cox that i don't know about... btw... carl came in a bit late... at 3:45 around.. but he was rocking the house... anyone remember the *train* track?? That was awesome

At first i was getting pissed b/c main room was getting cramped... but then me and my friends started dancing between the 2 loud speakers where all that asian viet crowd hangs around and there was lots of room plus cool air coming from the entranceway which was really nice...

Orange room had a good atmosphere and I wish I stayed there longer...

I only caught about 1 hr of armin.. but he played ok... heard versions of adagio for strings and the quest - c sharp that i've never heard before and that was kinda cool... As always, he was being the friendly armin that he was... and was autographing at the back...

will post a better review once i get some rest... haven't slept for 24 hours now... ugh

Nu-NRG was great but I left just when they were starting to really play some great stuff... =(

Nick warren was a thumbs up for me... great warmup...

Mark Lewis was great for opening for cox... but once cox took over, he really tore it up..

just got in...did a quick tour around when i got there then stayed in the kool house for the entire night...remy was solid. nick warren was the set of the night. nunrg wasnt exactly what i was expecting form them but were still good. and armin was really good as well. nice prog warm up and some standard armin trance. gotta love communication!!

nice to see some familiar ta's out and to meet a couple new ones as well. all in all a good night. hope everyone else also had an enjoyable night. time for sleep!

edit: its time to invest in some ear plugs. the kool house was bangin! hey did anyone happen to hear the sound in the drink? it was insane!!

left the club at 7:15am. carl cox was still on the decks. though i spent the majority in kool haus. nick warren dropping acid house was a twist. skipped nu-nrg to check out guv. armin was very good. full marks.

i have been partying close to a decade...but, some girl goes up to me and says...

her: "you drop half or a full?"
me: "i'm clean, i'm sober right now"
her: "then you won't understand the music!"

i was speechless.
