The drum and bass part is actually part of the original mix of BT- Flaming June, alot of people think the PvD remix is the original, but it's not.

personally, i find a point in the transition on which the second song seems to "take over" (whatever that means - the definition varies with different songs) and set the split there. also, when i deejay, i usually make 90-120 sec. transitions, so putting the split at the end of each track would effectively reduce the song durations by half
