they "dont" dj. All they do is live acts of their tracks.

(i think)
So what they basically do is have some version of each of their tracks and have them already cued in traktor. So they basically have their "set" done. Before they even get to the club. Then what they do live is play synths live over their tracks, creating "live mixes of each track." That is what they use cubase for. Its different.

if you don't have the ear, you still aren't going to make a good transition even with traktor's auto sync, and the bpm algorithm isn't perfect, so there's still a certain amount of skill involved; you still have to tweak the tracks to get them to stay sync.

Not sure how they utilise traktor and how much it gets used during their sets, but their sets are not "done" when they get to the club. They play live, meaning they run their equipment through the midi sequencer Cubase SX. They mostly prefer to use hardware as opposed to just software plugins for Reason etc, so you'll see them with keyboards set up (Supernova 2, Korgs..), they use an MC-909 (drool) groovebox... among other shit.

Geniuses.

nice, just curious how would they sync it with both separate audio outputs, or would they use there ear?
this is a definate question to ask them in the future, maybe someone should email them?
