Since both suicide and murder are both against RC teaching then removing the tube wouldn’t be an option.
I think keeping someone alive by unnatural means in a vegetative state isn’t right. I’m all for individual rights with the freedom to choose when to die. If an individual wants to be kept alive or put to sleep it should be their decision and no one else’s.

Its a very interesting dilemma for the church....There are two chances the tube will be pulled....none and f***all...
With the whole question of assisted suicides high on the agenda and especially the Shiavo case in the states....a very interesting dilemma indeed...and the most interesting thing will be how they deal with this situation right on their doorstep as it were....
But i bet there is some ancient canon law somewhere that will be pulled out of the bag(bet the scholars are looking allready)that will cover all eventualities if he falls into a vegative state....he will be replaced i would imagine.....but interesting.......
