ATB may be music for the masses, but when he first came out he wasn't... his songs were played at places where the masses don't usually congregate (ie. raves, underground clubs) but this depends on your definition of masses... I'm very curious about this phenomenon, as soon as djs, producers, songs enter the mainstream, we don't like them anymore... I'm not talking about Atb or anyone in particular when I ask, does mainstream mean shit music???
I dunno we're all sorta looking for the newest and coolest artist, I know I do it, but that doesn't mean we should stop liking stuff for the wrong reasons...
I too got sick of ATB (if his songs weren't played so damn much maybe I wouldn't have) but still think he contributed to trance in his own way...
The point is if you like ATB, that's cool if you don't, that's also cool but neither is wrong, this goes for any artist, producer, dj, song..
