Kinda disagree with you there... I like to hear old and new tracks in the same set - as long as they fit together nicely/similar style...

The only reason the old songs are towards the end of the mix is that i felt they fit in better there, just my 'style' i guess, also when i listen to the wippenberg remix of urban train it just gets me craving for the original.

And what two tiesto remixes of destination sunshine are there? The one i have is 9:06

i disagree with you here, sometimes it can sound really good when you do that, especially here. the wippenberg mix leaves you really needing to hear the original's melody, so it is quite appropriate to put that there, i think that also works well with using push - strange world (Spectrum remix) then push - strange world (2000 remake)

another good example of what i just said, is to use the second half of the atb mix of adagio for strings followed by the ferry corsten mix.
i do have to say that this trick should only be done in a few sets though, but it us a cunning trick.

In my opinion, a song is a song, new or old, if it's good that's all that matters, order based on released date is obsurd! Secondly, two songs by the same artist with different remixes is far from stupid. I haven't taken a listen to the Wippenberg mix but if they go they go. Listen to Picotto @ Trance Energy, Like This Like That back to back, 2 different mixes. Sounded pretty damn good to me.

i extremely disagree with your 2nd statement... that is just downright stupid what you are saying that it is stupid to put two same tracks with different mixes next to each other in a mix. I do this quite often and especially at the start of a mix or actually.. i think i did this with dj tiesto - flight 643 once and had the original then orkidea mix. As u know the original is great, everyone knows it and its a good solid song. Then halfway thru the orignal mix i dropped in the orkidea mix, which is less known, has a different style, and fucking GOES OFF. It just brings the mix to a different level when it's done right. If u dont believe me, look at Gatecrasher or Slinky Mix CDs. They do it quite often too.
