This man, the spiritual leader of a billion people bowing down to kiss the ground where the common man walked. I think that he had the last say as to how he wanted to live out the rest of his life...He came across as being a proud & vigourous man & that he wanted to live out his life to the fullest.He wasn't letting anything, including his illness, stand in his way of his papacy...I would almost think he was living his last years suffering under Parkinsons til the end just like Jesus did when HE suffered through the torturous crucifiction...
