Synth1 is a free VSTi made by some Japanse fellow...he kinda wanted to emulate the Nord Lead 2. Contrary to what some very optimistic people say, it doesn't sound nowhere close. Yes, it has that metallic shine to it and great weird FM sounds can come out of it but the Nord Lead 2 is way up there. And I'm not saying it just to say it, I'm saying it because I have a Nord Lead 2 myself and did a comparo. Nowhere close...just a bit...but still, for being free, DAMN, what a good synthie it is...I don't complain...

Dude, your siggy kills me, hahaha. And to think that back in the day I used to like him in Knight Rider and Gaywatch. Of course, that was in Puerto Rico so it was in Spanish and the voice they used for him was always the same and was kick ass, haha.

Here, I fixed the offending Vanguard samples, haha. Holy mother of distortion...I deserve to be shot...it was clipping like a madman...I have no clue why I didn't pay attention to it.

That synth 1 patch sounds awesome. I had no idea it could actually sound that good. I must invest some more time into it I think.

Yeah, Synth1 sounds very good. Here's something I put together a few minutes ago. With the exception of the percussion, everything else is made with Synth1 including the whistly thing, haha.

EDIT: Saw leads are the easiest...just start with a initial sound, back up the amp attack to zero, crank the amp decay and delay all the way and the amp release to around 50-75, turn on the unison and choose the saw waveforms. Walla, saw lead, hehe...then tweak it some more to your liking. Crank the FM a little bit for some spice.

Damn, you just put those leads together in a few mintes? I hate you Fuck, all those synths sound mint. The one at the start could be a bit fatter but the rest sound really nice.

Thanks for the tips too, I'll definately give them a go.

Hehe thanks. Yeah, mang, I've been learning this stuff since yesterday night because I got the weekend off finally, yay. My ears are so tired you have no clue...they hurt, haha. Been wearing the Sony 7506s for a while and then I use the single Behringer Truth that works, haha. That's why the sound is all f***d, haha.

Here's a simple saw I just made following the recipe I wrote above...while eating my Domino's bacon and pepperoni pizza I just ordered.
