now onto the controversial part, I would think that he did not exist since no one ever really heard of him....the director however said that he did exist with all seriousness....now if you look around the web you will realize that this was all a big stunt just to make him seem real...wow i must say i was really fooled...they really went to extremes (like making a discogs and internetdj page for him)
So final verdict, HE WAS NOT REAL |
I think you are being a little too sceptical. I personally do not beleive that a movie production team will go to such lengths as to create "a real person" based on the charachter in the movie.
I think it was a great movie that shows what these people endure (I mean of course people that in it BECAUSE they love it NOT BECAUSE THEY GETTING PAID). This is a tremendous work and physical strain on a dj (think about it, most of us spend only about 2-3 hours in a club on average once-twice a week they are doing it EVERY DAY!!!!!!). The movie reflects to the point how one would react if his life came to not even a hault but a COMPLETE SLAMMING STOP (like hitting a concrete wall) when you can't do the only thing you love/can/want to do. The truth is we really dont know what will happen to all those that make our weekends seem like lifetimes with the beautiful soundtrack in the future. I hope that NONE of them will experience what Frankie did in the movie.
On the movie itself I thought it was a breath of fresh air from all the hollywood crap we have been fed. It was well produced, the acting was top notch, the scenery...well its IBIZA...whoever been there knows, who hasnt been there needs to go, the comedy was hillarious and story was touching. Highly recommend to go see for any1, doesnt matter if you are into dance music or not. It's is more of a story of a struggle, just happens to have the element of nightclubbing in it.
PS Thanks to ALL the djs out there, this movie actually made me appreciate this stuff even more.
