agree but it wasnt only that...basically we were arguing also, how a young producer on the rise turns down an opportunity like remixing U2...

Because it "could" end up making, or breaking his career...

I don't care if he was running out of time or if he's not focusing anymore on remixes. Turning down U2 for a remix is just a plain idiotic move if you want your name to sound everywhere...and no, it is not selling out because we have seen in the past how there have been many many great remixes for the band.

I admire Mylo a lot and I believe his productions are mint, but this is a very dumb move IMO.

I doubt it. He's already sold 100,000 albums on Breastfed, and he's just moved to Sony who are re-releasing the album with proper marketing. Not to mention having the dance press and critics firmly behind him. Whether Mylo remixes U2 or not won't break his career, and after 15 years I doubt another U2 remix will make anyone's career.

remixing U2 could definately change your career, so I do not know what you are saying.

Making a U2 remix, like I said before, is far from selling out. It takes skill to make a GOOD remix. I've heard completely shit remixes for the band, just like I've heard amazing ones. And if you can gain some reputation in the process, well so be it...it doesn't mean you're in it for the money or selling out.
