Pest, look at this link:
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/5/sonikakbmusic.htm
Progressive House demo uses:
- bass arp from Supernova2 (with Waves MAXX/C1/Q10 vst plug-ins);
- drumloop: perc loop from "NO KICK v.1" + layer Kicks from my TR909 and MKS80 Super Jupiter (with Waves C1 & Q10 vst plug-ins) + HH from Supernova2 (with Waves C1 & Q10 vst plug-ins). Besides your software, you only need some GOOD EQ/Compressor tools like Waves. There are others, of course, and great as well (and maybe more cheaper).

So i am looking over this thread and picking up some new ideas. Ive been using Logic 5.5 for PC and using acid to scan thru loops and samples and then importing them into logic. i realized that a lot of sounds will sound great once they are layered, but when i listen to other tracks. its seems as if the percussion sounds so much more SPREAD OUt and Open as opposed to what i have. They sound very dry. I need to use other programs that i have access to. I dont have any really good drumloops.. which could be a problem. As a suggestion. You are saying to use Recycle for loops.. I am gonna do some research on exactly what it does. Just wanted to know if maybe someone has the same problems.. Logic seems to not expand the track as much as i even heard in FRUTY LOOPS. When you make a simple beat it sounds tighter.. is it Compression?

You need some good drum set (kick, snare, open/closed HH, percussion etc.) and EQ/Compression tools in order to make your own nice drumloops into your sequencer. I think Fruityloops/FLStudio can be fine and fast, or you also can use NI Battery into your Logic. But you really need to get some good drum set, free (Doru Malaia, Sirocco, ripped from others etc.) or from some comercial sample cds (Doru Malaia, Dance Mega Drums 1/2, David Morales, etc.).
If you get some drumloop (from sample CD or ripped from another source - like Moby, Armand van Helden etc.), you can use other elements (kick, perc etc.) on the top and process the whole drumloop again (filtering, compression and equalization).
NO KICK Vol.1/2 [XX-Large] has great drumloops (maybe suitable for house or some trance remixed). These loops doesn't have kicks on it.
Almost all producers use compression (again and again) and some EQ to make solid and pumping drumloops. It depends if you like to get some heavy compression or not. I use extreme compression sometimes, or not. But I always use it to process my drumloops. Do make some search on this forum, you probably will find out a lot of things here.
About Recycle... It's an interesting tool to have, cos you can slice your drumloops, pads, voices, whatever your sound, and changing the tempo/pitch these loops (re-arrange is possible as well).

Well, there's a whole genre or two based around loops that aren't GREAT quality (jungle).But basically for a slightly more spread out sound, you can just drop the loop into recycle, fiddle with it there, and i usually export the whole loop back out at the speed i like it at, but then I also export individual slices/hits. Then I layer those hits over the drum loop or break, but i pitch 'em down a bit to get a slightly more drawn out sound, esp from kicks and snares, a touch of reverb, and compress everything together. and that becomes a good starting point.

stereo "width" can be created by making a sound come from one speaker a few ms before the other speaker, tweaking loops this way adds a great deal of depth to them
