No, GG has his own distinct style, but still has that italian flavour that characterizes the rest of the BXR-crew. I know that he, Picotto and Gianfranco Bortolotti were the original trio behind the BXR-project and initially he and Picotto produced similar kinds of music, but since Picotto has gone harder, less melodic, and GG has gone softer. Try "Music", "BlaBlaBla", "Elisir (Your Love)" and "Cuba Libre" for four totally different examples of the genre he spans. All are, incidentally, from the same album "L'Amour Toujours".
I fear, however, that you'd label him as cheese Paul
