it sounds sorta like a beat juggling trick to me. As people have said u would just have 2 of the same track and use the cross fader and switch back and forth to get the beats. If you watch some beat juggling videos, u might see it.

Thats a trick I'd love to master, only I had a different approach...

Has any one heard..

Paul van Dyk - 1999-04-30 - Live at Mayday-MIM???

01. Paul van Dyk - Another Way (Original Mix)
02. Blank & Jones - Cream (Paul van Dyk Remix)
03. Paul van Dyk - For An Angel (E-Werk Club Mix)
04. Slick Mick - Middle
05. Southside Spinners - Luvstruck
06. 2 Digital - Take My Soul
07. Jonesy - Independance (Stadium Mix)
08. Quintessential - A Day To Remember
09. Atlantis Vs. Avatar - Fiji (Original Mix)
10. Tr Jr. - Rock With Me (Lange Remix)
11. Binary Finary - 1998 (Paul van Dyk Remix)
12. Gouryella - Gouryella

Ok, well each of these tracks sound better than the original, they are ORIGINAL but drumfilled, so theres NO BREAKDOWNS, all the tracks aren't playing at the default BPM, instead they sound like they're locked onto 140BPM through out the entire Set!!!,

Most of these Tracks are 135/138/140 BPM after dropping them into Traktor,

Now to replicate the set

1 x CDJ to Drumfill, Can be anything, made from Cubase or a CDM, Looped, set to 140bpm

I prefer the CDJ as I can change my Drumfills suited for the track and get rid of those BREAKDOWNS!!!

2 x TT to Play my Tracks Beatmatched to the CDJ
Cue 1
Cue 2

Whenever I knew a breakdown was coming, I kick in the CDJ, works likes charm, just gotta be wary about the Tracks sounding like a chipmunk

Ok, well in this set, he'll let an element ie For an angel tune play out unscathed, then he'll drop it in, timed perfectly!

A lot of the sets I listen, I try to reverse Engineer then replicate myself.

This set I have is only an mp3, Looking at the tracklisting compared to hearing the set, theres a difference, sounding more pumping, how is this so?

The Drumfills are variable through out the set, different drumfills on some tracks but a few that were re-used, the drumfills sounded like a template ripped from cubase or reason... whatever

My Best guess is the Setup I mentioned before, having a CD burnt with multiple drumfills.

Officially I Haven't discovered How it was REALLY done, just my best Guess
