Wait a minte... unsubstantiated refusals are for dweebs. My point is that electronic and punk culture have the following similarities: 1) progressive and anti-establishment ethos and works (dude, like lawler's "too black, too gay" and anything written by the dead kennedys), 2) unapologetic hedonism, 3) a firm foundation in youth culture, 4) attendees usually end up dancing their asses off. The only thing that's different is that punks hate ravers and ravers hate punks for, as far as I can tell, absolutely no reason at all. Why not branch out and experience all types of music? Man, everything, except for nu-metal because it's proven to be the brainchild of major softdrink manufacturers, has musical validity. Ravel's Bolero, Black Flag, and Danny Howells (which was a kickass show. Yee haw!) all come from the same epistemological and teleological roots: namely, some monkey pounding rocks to a prehistorical beat.
