Mogwai is damned good, but he is what I have heard labeled as post-rock, not EDM, so I'm pretty sure he is not who you are talking about.

Was waiting for someone to say this, as I read down the thread. I'm sure the Minimoog was named after Gizmo. What a classic film. For those of you youngens that haven't seen it, go rent "Gremlins".

They both rock.

One has more of a trance/house sound while the other makes more electronic and a bit more ambient and haunting stuff.
