By that logic your entire family being mamed in front of you has no effect on positive peter because he's always smiling and positivly interpreting the situation, must be nice to have that kind of dicipline and lack of heart. |
Dude, you didn't read his post clearly: he said "as long as my mom and sisters are not sick or in trouble". So if his family was MAIMED (God forbid) I'm sure there would be quite the negative effect.
When my father passed away I could have easily gone into depression because of the way it totally changed my life the way I knew it. But I focused on the POSITIVE (after mourning, of course) and realized my duty as a son and a brother so life went on, and even when my Mom/siblings still hurt from it, I try to make them smile and remember the good things...
Oh well, Vrk, instead of talking to you about it in person I guess it's online now!!! Those are good words to live by...
Sorry, Blue, I don't mean to drop a "serious" bomb in this dialogue but just wanted to say that you shouldn't interpret the guy to the other extreme! There is a middle, and give him the benefit of the doubt of not being a robot...that's all!

This thread is about how you WANT to feel and perceive life.
I always say to my friends when asked how I'm doing,
"Eh, I'm ALWAYS good"......
I hate reading in these forums how ppl bitch and complain
about things they have no sense in bitching about.
This is NOT a thread about these certain ppl, but more about
how you/we should accept things.
If you REALLY think about it, you should NEVER have a bad time
ANYWHERE unless u LET yourself have a bad time.
This applies to anything in life....
Honestly, ANY situation, dilemma, problem you have is 100% based
on how you interpret/accept it. Unless my mom or sisters
are sick or in trouble, I'm FINE.
Instead of thinking of the negative aspects of the day, party,
gathering, FOCUS on the positive. You can NEVER be too positive.
Its what you FOCUS on that determines how you feel/react.
I ALWAYS FOCUS on the positive, ALWAYS.
AND, if you think positive/optimistic, ONLY good things come to you.
Thats why I'm always in a good mood.
Thats why I always have a great time.
Thats why my life is so good.
Thats why I'm always smiling |
Thanks for stealing my view on Life
I'll get you next time dood
Till then keep smiling

My mistake I guess that part didn't register with me. It's still stupd to think that everything in life can be taken as a grain of salt, it would make a robot because you don't have a full range of emotions. It would also have you avoid solving problems because of the potential of you being unhappy.
My condolonces on your loss, no one should have to go through something like that.
