Refering back to my original post, Beethoven wasnt able to hear his own masterpieces.. reducing the complexity of his brilliance to a mere few simple mathematical formulas has given all of us music.. Imagine where music would be today without Beethoven...

I dont think it's something to be scared of at all.. Reductionism techiniques have resulted in virtually all technological advancements that you and I both enjoy today.
