As far as contacts have gone with me and Xing, I can assure you that their intentions are very honest and will be forthcoming if they get some quality remixes sent in.
I found it a hard job remixing this one, simply because it isn't my style. It sounded like a 'funny' track to me at first. But as said before, it more depends on artist's creativity and HOW you approach this track. Trust me, if you're willing to work with labels and get your stuff signed, you WILL get tough remix jobs as well...
Alas, this remix I did will not be labeled as an 'Icone Remix', but as 'Lightworks Remix'; due to being signed with that artist to the label.

Well, the A&R manager of the label made this track with very limited resources. He also isn't 100% into producing trance himself though. I'm not sure whether he is going to keep this original track for the single either, or just remixes.
That's the advantage of having your own label - you decide what comes out. Sometimes the public won't agree with your own taste, at other times they will...

You may refer to me as just "G", if you like.
I never said I was god. But there are a lot of crappy labels out there, and if a label would sign this track.. then most likely it would sign other crappy ones like it.
But this is an exception in that the track isn't actually signed to the label, it was created by one of the owners of the label.. probably as somewhat of a challenege to remixers.
But the fact that the track is so crappy is a little odd. Normally a label wants their best track remixed so they sell lots of copies.
The original version of this track really makes you lift an eyebrow... that's for sure...

Hey guys,
I wouldn't feel any awkward because of the quality of the original. Xing really has honest intentions about this. I can perfectly understand it might bring up some questions to some that are unfamiliar with the label.
