Here's who I use for everything (car, house, life, etc):
State Farm - Kelly Culin
905-847-0012
I've been dealing with him for 9 years now, claims are quick and painless and he's always gone out of his way to help. Rates are the best I can find (especially for car insurance).
Contents insurance is cheap too.. Call him and get a quote!

I am an independent adjuster and know a thing or two about insurance.....at 22 forget about getting cheap insurance unless you are driving around in an old shit box that you only get liability coverage on.
Your best bet is to go with a direct writer....someone like Belair, TD Insurance, or Certas. If you go with a broker then your broker is going to be making a commission off of the policy he/she sells you so right there you are paying extra. If you go with an agent type company i.e. State Farm then your agent only sells insurance to State Farm and will not give you quotes from other insurance companies.
What you may want to do is go on the internet and fill out a questionnaire and it will give you the three lowest rates....I am not sure of the website but if you google Auto Insurance Quote I am sure you will find it.
The only other thing that will help you lower your rate is to get married, buy a house, have a kid, and turn 40 over night.

I agree with RJ and Stereoprincess (in a previous thread)...(and see what I wrote in the "lightshow" thread)...
Any dedicated and respectful n00b (or anyone who doesn't visit regularly) should practice due diligence before starting a new thread or asking a question that has already been covered within the SAME thread...I think it just shows respect for others who have already painstakingly researched/typed answers!

thanks buddy.
it's not even new people tho. it's very egotistical to think that no one has ever talked about your particular topic before. i have been around a while and follow the threads topics closely (-ones written by a certain person) even if i don't post in them. Topics get repeated all the time.
it's one thing to make a reflective post on something that you are going through but to ask a question. it would be better to get all the answers right away then to wait and let people do the search for you. i used the information in those threads RJ posted just a year ago and it's good stuff. insurance doesn't change that much.
Edit: I can't believe this but the word of the day is extempore. There are many extempore postings on TA.
