Evening all, just wanting to put a question out as well - im over in London in July, and am thinkin about hitting a friday nite at Turnmills..how hard is it to get in?

Door lists? Cover charges? Old / young / under-age (-18) crowd? Any answers would be lovely

on a friday night its often busy as its the gallery night, so they usually just rush people in, ive never seen anyone get id-ed. The one thing I hate about turnmills is staff, they are all really moody and unpleasent and often cant speak much english at all... but its usually a piece of piss to get in (they will probably give you a body search first though). The crowd on Gallery nights is made up of people who are there for the music not for a piss up, and ive seen some oldies there, and some young people, probably average age of about 24 (thats a guess). Drinks are a rip off..

turnmills can get pretty bloody crowded to the point where i've given up trying to be in the main room and dancing due to the sheer squeeze. its a bit disappointing, but that's life..

i also don't find the crowd that friendly, regardless of drug consumption.. i've seen much nicer crowds in Holland, and in particular Australia..

still, its a great night, and they get some wicked lineups

can anyone say gabriel and dresden in august?!

Turnmills is probably the best club in london IMO...
the gallery is definately the biggest friday night london.. the
lineups speak for themselves week in week out..
there is always a friendly atmosphere in the place..

drinks are no more expensive then say any other big club in london..

its always keeps going longer than it should.. way past the normal 7.30am

on most friday nights its £12 before 11.30 to get in, much cheaper than most other places in london.. and with every increasing dj fees is still kept low.
