I'd say fight that shit. The California Driver Handbook doesn't specifically cover it, so I don't see how you're supposed to know that you can only right turn on red in the farthest right turn lane (if this is even the case).

I have that spray. You can actually verify that it works by taking a picture of your license plate with an ordinary camera. Completely non-legible.

Supposedly lasts forever. I haven't tested it after rain, but there's enough spray in the can to last you at least 5 years or so, and yes you can smoke it.
