Shure E2C minimum is around 80 some dollars.

They're not the most discrete but the fit is quite comfortable and they actually stay in place ( comes with various size of fit sleeves foam or silicone )

Bass definition is also very good.

And they also block most outside noise so they are the equivalent of an earplugs/earbuds hybrid. You will be able to listen to things at a much lower volume and hear the music just fine and hear no one around you.

Use at work all the time ... almost too effective because then I don't hear anyone ...

+1, I <3 the little things. I got mine on eBay for $60 last summer. Worth every penny and then some.

my friend has some PX100 which are the open design and was considering getting those, and i'm glad i didn't because the bass is overemphasized in the PX100. in the PX200 the bass sounds punchier, the mids are great, the highs are good. a good deal and better sounding than some more expensive models.

EDIT

earphones as in-ear? crap. the ones i suggested are head phones but i'd consider them anyway.

No, no, you got the mixed up, the bass is much louder, punchier and "full" in the px100, just like all other frequencies. The px200 have, due to the closedness, a much more "plastic" sound.

I hope you were kidding about the design?

While B&o is an awesome brand I've heard some not so awesome reviews for these earbuds.

And the price is a little drawback at 150+ $ if I'm not mistaken

and the Etymotics ER6's go in the 100 $ range

I searched on headphone forums a long time and tested out a lot of the products before I bought the Shure E2C's and I'm happy as can be.

yes

I found the fit more safe with the Shure's

I would have gotten the Ety's had I had money for getting a custom mold made then again that would be a bit more of a pain in the arse on a day to day basis were insert/remove is constant thing.

I also picked the Shure's because of the good bass it's almost like it thumps in there hehe

But downside for the Shure's is defenitely the size/shape. These things seriously stick out and look like hearing aids to some people.

Also consider taking a look at the www.headwize.com forums as there's plenty of discussion on the matter over there.

I love my shure E3s. Those buds are amazingly crisp, worth every penny and then some. My thoughts are if you're gonna spend any money on earphones, spend enough to get something you'll be happy with for years. The earphones are so good that it's obvious to me which mp3s were encoded at 128k, and which ones I encoded from albums at 384k...

I hear things I never even knew existed in a song....

I get that with my E2C and they're just the starting line ....

It's quite interesting actually you are music in a whole new way almost. But with the hiss and quality issues from the original material it can sometimes be more of a problem then a +

I found this on EBAy...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...ssPageName=WDVW
I mean for the price seems to be a bargain...And as stated above it seemed like these Koss sounded pretty good after the earbud modification...Again for 22 bucks that seems pretty good..I would love the Shure or the other ones...but again price is a factor cannot go over 50 bucks
