Your answer is a 2 dollar RCA cable from your soundcard to your mixer. Unless you made the mistake of buying a computer with a one channel soundcard, you just plug the main output into one channel, and the cueing into another channel, then fire up traktor.
However the far more elegant solution is to purchase a midi controller for live or traktor and use that. Plugs into USB and the software should recognize it as a mixer. I have an Evolution X-Studio for my laptop, and it works quite well. The crossfader is nice on it, but i wish the eqs were a little bit beefier. You then hook your computer into your mixer, ala 2 dollar RCA cable, Maven to XoneV6 style, and enjoy your evening.
And yes asshole, I realize that final scratch requires turntables (it can also use cd players), but if you have been a DJ for 6 years and know all the techniques - I would figure you would have a couple of decks lying around somewhere. If you are not going to be triggering midi loops etc, Id go with serato scratch and save yourself a great deal of hassle. It even comes with 2 dollar RCA cables.
BTW: How was using Final Scratch without an external mixer. I thought the whole point was to use it on your existing turntable and mixer setup. Hence the timecoded records/cds. But what do I know.... I dont know all the technics... im just a linguist. |
lmao... im just gonna save my breath for a responce, cause its not worth my time. And maybe im on crack, but I thought this forum was for guys to help one another out... Not mock there questions and call them an asshole. But whatever ill keep on spinning at clubs and make my money and you go ahead and keep on teaching language in japan or mock others or whatever you do.
BTW -- Let me know if you ever want to come to USA, I can probably hook you up with a job at Radio Shack.
