While it would be easy to lay the blame entirely on the fact that Sweden seemingly is a country in love with prohibition and war against fun, I think that a very important reason for these happenings is that the current holders of power in Sweden are the Social Democratic party. You don't want to move to the Netherlands. True, swedes are way to conservative, and very snowed in, even though they like to think they are not, and also they like to critizise others for beeing so.

And the S-V-MP coalition will defenetly be voted out in the election next fall, people are waking up the right coalition seems to have about a 5% lead to the lefts right now

euthanasia is actually illegal, but they do not prosecute doctors who perform it. (just did a report on it :P) prostitution is also legal in norway, and if norway isn't a conservative country try to smoke anywhere inside here :P
But yeah, they are liberal if you put USA as the normal, but to European standards they're not that liberal.

true, but i still have a hard time thinking about a government that is more liberal. and yeah, north america is another story entirly, i live in canada right now, which is supposedly more liberal than the US, but its fucking insanly conservative still even compared to sweden which is one of the least liberal countries in europe!
