Wow... what an unreal night... I haven't danced that hard in a LONG time, and I'm sure the TA's who I met up with can attest to my being completely soaked in sweat within an hour of arriving...

My tracks of the night: Arcadia (B/C I like my chedda, and when G&D were at Vision the sound was fucked for that tune... sounded great last night) and Max Graham - "Gone" just because I think for about half the car ride down there one of us was saying "But first... Max Graham! (I leaned over to Armin at the end of the night and tried to bust that out, I wish he'd heard me )

The place was really packed, so I spent the majority of my dance time in the room adjacent to the main one with the video monitors on, there was plenty of room to dance and it was easily 10 degrees cooler in there..

CTPrincess, D&G Girl, Everything0: It was a pleasure to meet you all, even if it was in a huge club where no one could really talk, hopefully I'll see you all out again (CTPrincess: I'll be in Detroit Saturday/Sunday/Monday next weekend for sure...)

wolverine16/Andy: Dude, I'm real sorry I didn't even remember seeing you last night, I was absolutely out of my mind for a few hours there, just SUPER faded and really jammin' out...

To the random VIP Club Girl I've danced with/seen at Vision the last 5 times I went down, thanks for introducing me to Molly I felt like a rock star for a little while there...

And finally, most importantly, Lucid, thank you so much for EVERYTHING! I had an absolute blast chilling with you before the show, I thought Devin was one of the most class dudes I've ever met, and you have to thank him again for letting us drive the Acura down... and I can't thank you enough for driving, you are easily the best femals driver I have ever seen in my life! I really look forward to getting the chance to party with you again, sounds like that will probly be Ferry huh ?

And finally, my favorite piece of club dialog for the night:

A: So I'll see you for Tiesto then? I can definitely sneak you in for free, no problems....

M: Ummm... yeah... I don't think I'll be able to make it to Tiesto...

(Maybe it doesn't come off as well online, but it was the funniest thing I'd heard all night when it happened!)

Ahhh... so much for to say, but after 4 hours of sleep and a 3 hour drive from Mil town to point today, I need some serious rest...

Peace, Cheers,

RJT

i think my favorite was the russian guy upstairs... "tiesto sucks, dude. right? doesn't tiesto suck?" ... lol, either that or the MANY MANY times we said "but first... Max Grahhhham"

man i am still in such an afterglow from last night. the night went by soooo fast! usually i look at my watch and it ends up being around 2am and i'm thinking "alright now, this set needs to pick up or i need to go"... but last night i was down on the floor (which was amazing, the sound, the crowd!) for a good 2 hours and when i looked at my watch and it was 4:30 i was like "holy shit! gotta get back upstairs and find the TAs!"

my favorite tracks from the night -

PVD - Crush
Andy Moor - Halcyon
Max Graham ft Jessica Jacobs - Gone
Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk
G&D - Arcadia
Purple Haze - Adrenaline (the one tune i was dyin to hear ALL night... i dragged Kael to the dancefloor when i heard armin mix it in)
Motorcycle - Around You
Rachel Starr - Till There Was You
and of course, Serenity, although i wish i had been on the floor for that one

and ummm the oddest part of the night was the guy with the safety goggles on.

Rob - i can't wait to party with you again!! i had such a great time driving down with you... makes the drive soo much easier, and way more fun too! you're an awesome dude. it's on for Ferry!

gah my feet are so sore and numb from dancing all night. time to kick back on the couch and relax!

Ended up going down to Chicago yesterday after planning on not going, and partied for most of the day and, as expected, my friends held true to their word on bitching out. I actually took a cab by myself downtown, but since once I saw the line and realized that without presales there was no chance in hell of getting in I went back to meet my friends in Lincoln Park and had to miss it. Glad to hear you all had fun though

I saw that kid w/ the goggles too - that was a bit surprising. heh.

i've totally relaxed all day today as well [and took a nap as well, since only getting around 4 hours of sleep during the night]. my feet are still sore [i was on the floor from around 1130 until about 4 straight]. i know what you mean about the time too - it flew by.

i also noticed the floor wasn't "packed" [to the point where if you left you couldn't get back in], but had a decent amount of people in it. i liked having a little bit of space to actually dance, not just kind of shuffle between people. so that was nice.

the set was really awesome. i'm glad to hear everyone else had a great time too.

and i've still got that wonderful wonderful ringing in my ears!

same here - very nice to meet ya (I'll remember you b/c i was sober the entire night) and i'll send you a pm later this week with the 411 on detroit - i'm there saturday - tuesday - not sure exactly which shows i'm going to - my friends that i'm going with are techno whores, so we'll see if i make it to markus - i really want to see him (finally!), but its all up in the air ATM.

Hey all -

I had a great time myself at Armin! I was unfortunately stuck on the crappy side of Vision until about 1:30-2am when I was finally able to schmooze my way in!

Had a great time dancing after that! I brought several of my female friends and they had a blast too! So I'm hoping maybe to meet some of you people at Tiesto or Ferry? Let me know what cracking!

Hope you are all recovering well! (I didn't get to where i was staying until 7am, and I had a 9 am call time! EEK! I was wiped all day!)

yeah it wasn't too bad. there were some sketchy dudes out there but luckily Kael did a great job of protecting me.

i mean seriously, what guy thinks that a good way to introduce himself to a girl would be to start massaging her ass. come on now.

Yeah, those Russian dudes were great! I was dancing and talking with those guys for a while in the other room, and despite some of their tastes in music, they had some pretty cool things to say... but that moment up by the bathroom is definitely permanently imprinted on my brain... but first... Max Grahhhham...

...I've said it before and I'll say it again, I can not wait to party with you again Lucid, minus the random stranger ass massages on the dance floor

did i say GREAT anywhere in my review?

i've always thought armin was a good dj - and his showmanship is probably the best out there and his construction of sets is always good - just didn't get me dancing last night b/c i just don't like most of the tracks that he spun, so IMO his set was BORING, but his fans loved it. i admit - the last 20 minutes of his set was fantastic - i think he spun some original/new tracks which didn't sound like the rest of his set.
