Actually the update for the Denon only fixed the lag on the crossfader, not the channel faders.

I'm afraid I don't know what the response time of the faders is like on a Xone:92 (although one thing I do know is I hate using a Xone:62 simply because of the lag!) and in response to your question about using a channel for your EFX, yes it would use a mixer channel but the 2 left hand channels (separate from the main phono/line channels) are designed to either act as microphone channels or aux returns, so it would be one of those channels you'd use, thus not interfering with other inputs (unless you need 2 microphones)

i have the rotary one and i can tell you it takes a while to cut in to the song when using them though you can adjust this if you want i assume simliar control with the slide faders.

The XONE:92 has 2 separate loops for EFX units/Samplers/whatever.... These are 2 separate from the 4(8) channels that the mixer has.

This was answered earlier... There is no Crossfader lag as the Xone62/Xone:32 had. I luv my Xone:92.
