OK I get it now. Hmmm that would also be a good way to mount a laptop that is part of a system - extra space underneath gives better cooling.

Even when i forcefully try to move it, it doesn't.

heres mine... just done today
all 1/2inch pipe nipples from homedepot
yes i said nipples... lets be mature now.
the folowing parts are what i used for EACH stand.
cost: 40 dollars, 15 minutes each
6x 4" nipples for the two half lengths of the turntable base and half widths of the cdj base
2x 5" nipples for the half widths of the turntable base
3X 12" nipples for the horizontal cdj connection to the base and legs for the cdjs
1x 24' nipple for the vertical part cdj stand
4x floor flanges for the turntable legs
7x 90degree street valves to hold up the flanges, to connect the cdj base to the stand of the pole, to keep the cdj from sliding down
6x tees... to connect the nipples
1x 90 degree elbow to connect the vertical pole with the horizontal connection to the turntable base
but i recall reading somewhere that there is a maximum angle you can use for the CDJs... anyone know it?
i'm not saying jade's is reaching the max but i was just curious after looking at his setup.

thanks for the comments
interesting... well i didnt find anything in the manual abotu the angle. from a mechanical standpoint i do not really see why there would be a maximum angle
could you be thinking about a maximum angle when the cdjs are on a table... becuase you wont be able to insert a cd?
i havent had a chance to really mix on it for a long time... they came in today lol and i spent all of it finding parts for the stand.. will update if there is anything wrong

looks cool man. I went the budget route and stole a lecturne from school and used it as an elavated platform for my cdjs. Actually looks pretty cool...

Very nice! I'll probably adopt something similar if I get CD decks, thats a really great idea, been wondering what the best way of doing it would be.
Although I would change it a little, and at the top where you have a 90 degree turn from the vertical pole to the horizontal projection, I would make that a T-piece, and likewise at the bottom.
Then run your cables through the centre of the tubing to remove it rfom view. The power plug may be a little too large (unless you can unscrew one end), but you should be able to do it with the RCA outs.

haha yea i thought about that but the tees were 50 cents more >: ) this setup is very temporary and i know im gonna be moving that stuff around, maybe even out to bars or clubs so i didnt want to deal with the pipes and routing wires. the pipes themselves are very dirty and greasy so i will definitly minimize the amount of touching that im gonna have to do when moving them around...specially when bottom elbow needs to be scewed in so tightly (that 24" makes a very nice lever btw... you can temporarily screw that one into other joints and tighten them)
actually i just thought about this..
you could get reducing elbows so that that 24inch piece is like... 3/4" or something like that... would definitly make it larger and easier to deal with. only problem that it will add alot of connections. i have a very limited amount of room.
turntables make a great anchor though... next up i may make a real stand for my mixer and add a connection for an efx to sit right between the cdjs... when i get one that is. also a connection for monitors would be nice.
