re: the wifebeater thingie, well, maybe it was just tessa, but her and Laura (another aussie friend she met at york) both always referred to beaters as singlets. when i first mentioned whut i was wearing was a beater, she was confused. she was like "ah, u mean singlets, i gotcha now! "

and ya, piking it... sorry, i was just using it in that one context.. ie. leaving a party.. i figured it just generally meant to leave someplace...
