Ah, I see, thanks. Does the dip at 0 not get irritating? I'd have figured that was one of the things I've got to make sure the decks I get *dont* have, or maybe I've got the wrong idea?

its not a big deal. and honestly, if you are thinking about buying belt drive decks, dont worry about pitch reset.

YEah,

My friends tell me Belt Driven is evil...

I don't knwo why but... I use laptop...

Actually...

I think it's better that people wait up and save, to buy durable goods.... In the end that's the most important. WHat features it has isn't as big a deal, because newer adn cooler stuff is always coming out. Just as long as the set has what you want, that's what's important...

With the $1000 i paid for my laptop, i could've had an entire set... A shti one, but not TOOO BAD either (from my miniscule knowledge base)....

I can stil use the laptop to practice with, which is what's most important... but I"m happy to wait and buy my stuff a bit by bit...

I also prioritise... Seeing as i have laptop, i'm not going to place much priorrity on spending on my Turntables... just want them tehre so i can play vinyl whenever i want... THe mixer wil have to be very important.... proably the most important part, so i'm willing to spend like 700-800 masx, though i'll prefer somethign at 400 mark... dunno if that's a stupid thing to say... but i'm willing to wait...

He he, yea, nothing like saving up mass amounts of money for your first set-up so you can put everyone elses to shame. Part of me still hates hime for that set-up.

Lol, well I ended up buying some direct drive turntables and feel better for it.

I just wasn't prepared to spend too much money on my first set up in case it doesn't work out. Especially since I've been spending way too much money lately.

Arriving tommorow, I'll be pissed if my vinyls dont arrive tomorrow too

Good idea. The problem with belt drive is that the pitch wavers, and the torque on the platter sucks. Thereby making mixing well impossible, thereby making you think you suck.

What did you get in the end? Where'd you get it and for how much (did haggling work?)?

Got it from djstore.co.uk, haggling didn't work, no, but it was only £195 so it's not too bad. I got this kit in the end, these decks seem to get reasonable reviews for the price range, so I'm happy. Shipped today Can't wait.

I'm *supposed* to be revising at the moment
