To see Oakey fill a place to overcapacity when 95% of the people in the place have no clue what he is or represents but just know he's cool or something goes to show that there is most certainly a commercial aspect to it.

Your source of fact is?

Are you not aware of things my friend?

The main EDM tours of djs have mostly been for TRANCE djs.
Like Ferry with Playstation2 Pvd with Motorola etc etc

It's also mostly trance djs that play in non club oriented settings ( concert halls ) like House Of Blues which regurlaly host Trance oriented events across the country ( but they on occasion do have non trance djs ).

Bring a trance headliner and all the n00bs and the clueless come out of the woodwork. I have seen it numerous times when comparing the attendance of trance versus other edm type events.

You go and tell me how it's NOT commercial!?

Can't say I agree. I have gone to clubs where major djs have spun and started conversations with tons of people there. All seem to know who they were watching that night. Sure, some don't but I wouldn't consider it a huge majority over those who do.

Well in most cases they do know the name that is why they came cause they heard he/she was cool but as far as actually knowing much about the artists a lot are clueless.
I can't count the number of times I've been to some place and had some people ask me who's that playing right now? It could be the opener and you'd tell them it's the headliner and they'd fall for it cause they have absolutely no idea.

Okay, but you make that seem as if it is a bad thing. You saying only trance leets like yourself should be the only people allowed to go to a club and enjoy a dj?

I never said that. I was simply stating facts as to prove that trance in the US is COMMERCIAL. Learn how to read.

I was not bitter I made things clear from the start but due to your ignorance you preferred to walk past the details.

Had I been truly bitter I would have said the whole scene sucked.

But no I didn't, I actually gave the positive points for all the major cities ( well I still left a bunch of cities aside can't put a review on all the cities ).

Made the mistake of watching some of that nonsense on Winamp once, don't even get me started on German rap, but whatever floats the boat.

I would have to say Miami, never been there but from what I have heard it is the scene in North America, "Club Space" anyone. Seems like every week a top act is there. There was a time when my good ole NYC might have been the one but those days are long gone, try as they might it won't come back.
