mixed a record in with the bass kill activated. worked out well tho, as i caught on to this eventually, but didn't know what to do when i saw it. then, i waited for a silent breakdown, and brought the bass in. in silence, it wasn't noticeable, but when the kick came in, the people reacted nicely.
had 3 records playing at once. 1 vinyl, 1 CDJ-200, 1 CDJ-800. CDJ-800 in vinyl mode, track finishes, and the next starts. a 3 deck trainwreck sounds a lot worse, even if just 1 track is off, and specially if that one track was the one with the kick on full. this was at a house party i did, mostly all who were here were DJs, so they understood quite well without me even having to say anything.
pulled the wrong CD out at a fashion show i spun at. luckily, it was real early, show hadnt started, only like 20-30 people there. the few that even noticed completely understood when i said i was just doing a standard soundcheck.
got a bad burn on a track. i knew it completely, in and out, so it was quite my surprise when it cuts out with 3 minutes to go, and me not having brought in the next track yet. again, at my house with a couple of buds, so didn't matter.
