Re: Colorada can't be that bad

If you want to see bad- come to Erie, PA. Here we have 19 year old girls pushing around strollers, plenty of poverty and ghettoness to go around, and a downtown that has nothing but abandoned buildings, banks, and a hospital. The 24-30 year old crowd is non existent here. Erie is composed of 100,000 people in the city, mostly poor decreped blue collar workers and minorities and pregnant teens. About 100,000 live outside of the city- wealthier people living in gated communitites, retirees, and baby boomers just about to retire. The people in the suburbs all drive big gas hog SUVs and pickup trucks and are all fat. They drive in the left lane which by law is supposed to be passing only right next to someone in the right lane for miles and miles. People drive under the speed limit. People don't signal for right or left hand turns. The people in the city drive ducked taped beat up cars from the 80s. Many are too poor and take the taxi to the laundromat and grocery store because they can't afford a car payment.
You would think with 200,000 in the immediate area you would see a hot girl once in a while, I think I've seen two in the 8 months I've been here. My girlfriend is by far the hottest girl in Erie.
I'm moving to Montreal in August and I can't wait to escape this epitome of utter boredom and stupidity. |
I trully feel your pain. I have been to towns like that in the US. I've been all over the US, it's an awfull place for the most part. I think the reason I hate Colorado springs and the people there, is they have money, lots of it. It's how they spend it that pisses me off.
