The best thing to do after a long loving relationship, that I've found, is to sever all connections with the person. Anything reminding you of them should be disposed of. Don't talk to them. Don't try to be friends. 99 times out of 100 it just doesn't work.
Also, find your buddy Jose. Cuervo, that is. |
I got out of a "traumatic" relationship. I was so screwed up afterwards I didn't know what to do. Friends help, keeping busy helps, with time all things fade... Oh and hooking up with better looking people and then videotaping it and sending it to your ex might also cheer you up (just a thought ). Don't worry, lots of fish blah blah blah, you're better than he is blah blah blah (those are both true).
Lastly...
The whole being friends thing is totally stupid. I'm quasi seeing someone right now who still talks to her ex. Everytime they have a conversation she comes back depressed. It's retarded. Cut it off, don't see/speak to them, listen to lots of Notorious BIG (if you're a guy, sorry but as much as Big Booty Ho's gets me happy again I doubt it'll cheer up a girl ). Hard dirty RAP cheers me up after break ups... Probably because it tells you (the man) how much better and more important/powerful you are. Also a hard night of drinking makes the whole thing much smoother. Don't get depressed, go out and party. Celebrate your singleness and ability to hook up with whomever you please.
Until you're married all bets are off!
